Facilities & Activities
We are committed to providing a service of total care to each individual resident as we appreciate that everyone is different and unique. Our residents are encouraged to spend time socialising and taking part in our activities programmes but are given independence of choice throughout their stay. We provide a backdrop of 24 hour care in a safe environment that encourages motivation and inspiration to our residents.
An activity room is located on site where our fully trained staff assist with painting, games, jigsaws etc. There are also two lounges, one for individuals to sit and watch their favourite TV programmes and another where a piano is available for residents to play or a place to listen to music of their choice. On a separate floor we also have a quiet lounge where residents can either sit in peace and quiet or watch the TV. This is a popular room for family visits or assessments by professionals as it provides a bit of privacy.
We try to make the most of all significant holidays throughout the year, keeping family essential to help with stimulation of the memory and feelings of warmth and security throughout the stay of all.
Plenty of activity sessions are available for residents to take part in. We provide each resident with their own, unique activities programme. This is created upon admission, ensuring a tailor made system to improve and stimulate all areas of our residents lives, set to their needs and abilities. A noticeboard in the main hall shows a list of the upcoming events”.

We have recently included some new trips and fully encourage families and friends to join in the fun.
Regular Day Trips:
We provide day trips to the local park and shops. For clothing etc.
Other Day Trips include
Carnival, circus, musicals, football matches, church events.

We also escort residents to family celebrations upon request.
Another part of our activities programme is to try and promote a sense of normality and independence around the house. A number of our residents enjoy helping us with every day household tasks, for example folding clothes, hanging the washing out, clearing the restaurant, sweeping the floors etc. We find that this gives some of our residents a sense of purpose and they love to feel a part of the staff team.
We are extremely keen to promote a Quality of Life and a sense of freedom in our home. We believe that where possible our residents should be able to carry on enjoying their interests and hobbies that have been a part of their lives prior to coming to us.
