About our Residential Care Home
Benridge is located in an ideal position within Southport, only minutes away from local amenities and Hesketh Park. We are only a short walk or bus ride away from not only the town Centre and the train station but also the grand promenade. We have an idyllic setting and backdrop to aid our residents’ everyday lives and to help them nourish and fulfil their potential in the twilight of their remarkable lives.
The building itself is wheelchair accessible and has been since major structural changes to the property in the late 1980s. In the last 2 years we have completely refurbished and decorated all the bedrooms and the re-modernisation of the whole building is an ongoing concern. All bedrooms have their own vanity units, sink and commode should they wish. Last year we completely refitted 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets and also introduced a new facility in the shape of a wet room for those who prefer to shower. In the last 3 months we have had major alterations to the ground floor, with the redecoration of the TV Lounge, Activity Lounge, Dining Room, office and communal hall ways. We are now in the process of finishing the communal hall ways both in the basement and the upper floor. Once this is complete, we will be concentrating on our new salon and past times lounge.
We believe in the ability of the mind to recover and with hard work and ongoing dedication we encourage cognitive reminiscence through conversation, memorabilia and belongings. In addition to the many activities and day outings listed on the facilities page, personal visits from such professionals as hairdressers and chiropodists are readily available. A life can be continued and made at Benridge, rich with opportunity and compassion.
Each residents’ wellbeing is taken into consideration and no stones left unturned to better ourselves, our staff, and therefore the residents themselves. Our senior staff are in constant contact with local GP’s and district nurses. All medication control is under strict guidelines and individual care assessment plans initiated by key workers. Our staff are up to date with the latest techniques and methods due to continuous training and enhancement of key skills to ensure the highest quality of care that we can possibly provide. On the whole we have 23 staff on site and 3 bank staff.

Please contact the Registered Manager or Senior Staff members to make the arrangements. There are no restrictions on the age of our residents and we fully welcome family visits once the residents have settled in, having no set visiting times to enable a fully functional family relationship just as if the resident were in their private home.
